Here's a beautiful setting of the traditional Irish folk song done in a style reminiscent of Vaughan Williams' "Fantasy on Greensleeves". Each section of the strings plays a vital role as rich harmonies, solo passages, pizzicato, bowed-tremolo, and harmonics are all used to make this music really stand out. This is a nice addition to the repertoire and well worth programming for your next concert.
