This book presents common rhythm patterns in various time signatures, beginning with the most basic and progressing toward syncopation and odd meter. Each rhythm is introduced with a simple open string warm-up or scale, then put into practice with songs from all over the world. Unison melodies for violin, viola, cello, and bass stay in easy keys and ranges so the player can focus on the rhythm without other technical challenges.
