Commissioned by and dedicated to the Quincy, Illinois Community Concert Band, this original composition opens with a lovely, emotional flute solo. The composer explores the 6/8 meter fully as the work develops to a furious conclusion. All sections of the band are given the opportunity to shine. This is a vital new addition to the serious band literature. (5:29)
