Christ Beside Me [Alf:00-22739]

This warm, lyrical blessing is based upon an ancient Celtic prayer: "Christ be beside me." Changing key and meter after the gentle opening, the traditional hymn, "Holy Manna," is heard, the perfect response: "Christ all around me - Shield in my strife." Easily taught, a joy to sing, both as an anthem and a benediction. For Ascension, Eastertide, Lent, Pentecost and general occasions.
