Christmas Medleys for Students includes favorite Christmas carols that have been skillfully combined into medleys that are perfect for recitals or other performances. Book 2 is arranged at the early-intermediate level with the pieces placed in approximate order of difficulty. Triplet and complex sixteenth-note rhythms have been avoided. Key signatures are limited to one sharp or flat. Technical challenges include playing with greater mobility around the keyboard, using the damper pedal frequently, balancing a left-hand melody against a right-hand accompaniment, and playing simple counterpoint.
