Suggested corresponding lectionary readings include 2 Samuel 18: 1-5, Psalms 101 and 143: 1-8, Amos 5: 6-15, Luke 17: 5-10, John 6: 34-51, Ephesians 4: 25-32 and 2 Timothy 1: 14. One basic homiletical theme is the call to renew God's gift of fellowship, peace, and unity through the celebration of the Lord's Supper.
