Convergence [Alf:00-BD9779]

With the main thematic material beginning in unison and quickly expanding into thick harmonies, this work moves even the younger ensemble into an expanded consciousness of contemporary composition. A slower middle section provides necessary contrasts and vertical sonorities that underscore the interaction of the melodic lines throughout. Performance tempo can be successfully adjusted to the performance levels of the ensemble. Convergence is a dramatic new vehicle! (duration 4:48)
