DANSES POUR HARPE CHROMATIQUE AVEC ACCOMPAGNEMENT D'ORCHESTRE D'INSTRUMENTS A CORDES (DANCES FOR CHROMATIC HARP WITH STRING ORCHESTRA ACCOMPANIMENT) was written in 1904 as a commission to Claude Debussy (1862-1918) for the new chromatic harp, recently inventory by the Pleyel harp-making company. The work is written with two movements (1. Danse sacrİe; 2. Danse profane), and the title on programs sometimes reflect those movement titles. The work premiered on November 6, 1904, at one the Concerts Colonne held at the Ch˘telet Theatre in Paris, with Lucile Wurmser-Delcourt as the harpist and douard Colonne conducting. Instrumentation: Str (8-8-5-5-5 in set): Solo Harp in set. Reprint edition.
