First Suite in E-flat (Suite No. 1, Op. 28/1; H. 105) [Alf:36-A010301]

Written in 1909 and one of two suites by Gustav Holst (1874-1934) under Op. 28 written originally for military band, the First Suite in E-flat is considered a cornerstone of the band repertoire. This transcription for orchestra has been completed by Chris Hazell. Movements: I. Chaconne, II. Intermezzo, III. March. Instrumentation: 2+Picc.2.2.2: 4.2.3.1: Timp.Perc(5): Str (9-8-7-6-5 in set).
