Four Seasons [CF:ZM31490]

This composition symbolizes the typical moods and impressions of the seasons in a year. Autumn, for a start, is symbolized by sounds resembling autumn storms brought about by extremely elaborated dynamics. Icy patches in winter are illustrated by the sounds of metal whereas the increasing density of sound effects is meant to describe the awakening of mankind and nature in springtime. Finally, a calypso helps to associate summer, sun, holidays and joy of living. Not all the movements have been fully composed, a lot is aleatory and aims at the players' imagination. This piece can also be arranged for a scenic or choreographic stage performance. Its level of difficulty requires an ensemble of advanced students who are already experienced in playing together.
