IMMER KLEINER (Always Smaller) is a humorous fantasy featuring the clarinet with band, orchestra or piano. The soloist plays the clarinet first in its entire construction and gradually disassembles the instrument as he performs. As the name "lmmer Kleiner" implies, the solo instrument becomes smaller and smaller with each new movement, until the last portion of the solo is played using only the mouthpiece.
