Originally intended as the finale to his First Violin Concerto, Saint-SaĞns decided to publish the Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso as a standalone concert work following the success of its first performance in 1867 by the work's dedicatee Pablo de Sarasate. Classic edition of the work in the arrangement for Violin and Piano by Georges Bizet. Contains piano score and separate violin part.
