Sidney Corbett's Keine Stille (auŸer der des Windes) is an 80-minute chamber opera with a libretto by Simone Homem de Mello, based on texts by Fernando Pessoa. The librettist and composer pack the literary fragments of this poetry of loneliness into a hermetically sealed space and a daily cycle that six or seven characters have to face. Keine Stille (auŸer der des Windes) – No Silence (Except that of the Wind) – was commissioned by Bremen Theatre and premiered at the city's Concordia Theatre on 31 January 2007. This new edition (EP 14382) is the conducting score of the work; the orchestral parts are available on for hire.
