The Melodious Etudes for Trumpet are based on the vocalises ofMarco Bordogni. These vocalises are considered to be some of themost musically appealing in the vocal repertoire. They have beencarefully transcribed and arranged to be suitable for use in the studyof the trumpet. This edition presents the material in a pedagogical sequence thatprogresses from the easiest keys and rhythms to the more difficult.It is hoped that these etudes, as transcribed for trumpet, will help toimprove the expressive playing of trumpet players everywhere.
