Marches are part of the heritage of the American concert band, and even beginning students can benefit from early exposure to this style. Joseph Compello gives us a new march in traditional style for the youngest of players. Using only six notes and simple repeated eighth note patterns, this piece introduces students to all the fundamental elements of traditional marches.
