This solo in 3/4 meter and G major is an excellent vehicle for developing lyrical playing. The right-hand melody must project over the left-hand broken-chord accompaniment that descends by steps. Careful attention to the dynamics and the syncopated pedal will ensure a musical performance. Teenage and adult students will be particularly attracted to this piece in romantic style.
