Adolphe Adamâs (1803-1856) ever popular Oh Holy Night was penned in 1847 and has remained a classic holiday carol ever since. The text comes from French poet Placide Cappeauâs Christmas poem, to commemorate the 1843 renovation of Roquemaure churchâs pipe organ. It premiered in Roquemaure in 1847, sung by opera singer Emily Laurey. This arrangement by Adam Harris includes full orchestra and mixed chorus.
