Schmĵcke dich, O liebe Seele is a 4.5-minute choral prelude by Francis Pott, providing organists with contemporary organ music which is easy to intermediate level.

Commissioned as part of The Orgelbĵchlein Project – an initiative by the organist William Whitehead to commission composers to complete J. S. Bach's Orgelbĵchlein series of choral preludes for the complete liturgical year.

Released on the Naxos label (Naxos 8.574252-53) as part of a CD dedicated to the work of Pott (his Passion Symphony Christus and the organ works Improvisation on Adeste Fideles, Schmĵcke dich, O liebe Seele and Surrexit Deo.

Francis Pott is Chair of Composition and Head of Research, London College of Music. He is particularly renowned for his sacred choral and organ compositions.
