Franz Liszt’s piano suite Weihnachtsbaum (“Christmas Tree”) was dedicated to his granddaughter Daniela, whose birthday was on Christmas Eve. Its twelve movements are a mix of original music and arrangements of existing melodies. Three movements from the suite are featured in this flute quartet arrangement: In Dulci Jubilo, Adeste Fideles, and Old Provençal Christmas Carol. Scored for three C flutes and alto flute and suitable for intermediate to advanced players.
