Though less-often heard than other later works by this composer, Darius Milhaud's (1892-1974) three-movement SONATA No. 1, Op. 33 offers a look at the composer at his most robust and muscular, although the more gentle sound of contemporary Parisian composers such as Satie, Faurİ, and Ravel remain audible in this early work. Movements: I. Dİcidİ (C major/C major); II. Pastorale. Modİrİ (G lydian mode/G lydian mode); III. Rythmİ (C major/C major). Reprint edition of the original version of this work.
