Although best known for his circus and university marches, King also composed regimental style marches. This classic, composed while he was playing baritone horn in the Thayer Military Band in Canton, Ohio, contains a trumpet and drum section in the trio and builds to a dramatic conclusion. This is excellent music for any program, but especially for a patriotic or military tribute.
