Spring Song, Op. 16 (Vaersaeng) [Alf:36-A528001]

Spring Song, Op. 16 (Vrsng) was written in 1894 by Jean Sibelius (1865-1957) and was initially titled Improvisation for Orchestra. Sibelius revised the single-movement tone poem a year later and retitled it. The unrevised version premiered on June 21, 1894, with the composer conducting an ensemble in Vaasa, Finland.
