Star Quest [Alf:00-17107]

Commissioned by the Saxton Middle School Symphonic Band (Patchogue, NY), this original overture captures the energy and exhilaration of a motion picture soundtrack! A dynamic opening fanfare leads into a spirited allegro secton. In the spirit of a contemporary film score, the soaring melody is driven forward by a pulsing triplet accompaniment. A beautiful 3/4 moderato section introduces a more reflective mood before the main theme returns for a dramatic conclusion. Exciting rhythms, rich harmonies and contrasting melodic lines will make this festival or concert piece a blockbuster hit!
