This book of exercises is intended for all vibraphone players (regardless of level and style) desirous to improve or keep up their technique. It is also meant as complementary training on harmony and improvisation: practice is based on every type of chord and scale used in jazz. I decided to refrain from giving techical advice and let each player find his/her own way with these exercises. The only piece of advice I would offer is the following: practice very slowly at first, with the help of the metronome, and try and produce a beautiful sound, then progressively increase speed up to the fastest possible tempo. Also: always remember to relax your wrists, arms and shoulders when playing, to avoid all tension. I hope this book will be useful to you all along your vibraphone-playing life. Enjoy the music!
