The Grasshopper: A Tragic Tale [Alf:00-0708]

This wonderful little piece has delighted and amused audiences in performances for many years. Previously available through the Summy-Birchard Archives only, the increasing demand for The Grasshopper has warranted our bringing it back into print. This "Tragic Tale" is about a grasshopper on a sweet potato vine who gets eaten by a big turkey gobbler! It is told by a narrator and assisted by soloists and a chorus of mixed voices in a variety of tempos ranging from allegro to maestoso.
