The Joyful Island [CF:564-03219]

For the hugely talented young guitarist Aytahn Benavi, Gilardino has penned The Joyful Island, a rolling sound poem in A-B-A form. The piece uses the entire fretboard with repeated phrases and elements, pausing for an extended dynamic middle section with cadenza-like passages, before returning to the fast-paced joy of the beginning.
