The basics of music theory and terminology are presented in two special workbooks correlated to the Sounds Spectacular Band Course. This text is used to teach the conceptual skills of music. The how and why that are not associated with the actual physical playing of the instrument, but the mental aspects of music which reinforce learning so that a complete comprehension of music and the elements surrounding music can be better understood. The books are designed to motivate the students through short assignments, tests, games, and puzzles. Theory Concepts Book 1 also serves as a supplementary text to the Sounds Spectacular Band Course (O5205). To continue progress for advancing wind ensembles, follow with Theory Concepts Book 2(O5191)
