These THREE TRIO SONATAS, originally thought to be all by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) when this edition was released by Friedrich Hermann, now is known to only include two works by Bach. The first Sonata, spuriously attributed to Bach as BWV 1037, is now thought to be by Johann Gottlieb Goldberg (1727-1756) as DĵrG 13. The remaining two trio sonatas, BWV 1038 and BWV 1079h, are by Bach. The sonatas may be played by either 2 violins and keyboard or violin, flute, and keyboard. Reprint edition.
