Trisagion [HL:1437398]

The heart-stirring “Trisagion” was commissioned by the American Choral Directors Association for and was premiered by the 2023 ACDA National High School SSAA Honor Choir under the direction of Pearl Shangkuan. This treble piece with solo violin uses a canonical text translated as “Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us.” It is best suited for advanced treble choirs of high school, collegiate and community levels. Written in response to the war in Ukraine that began in 2022, it will add poignancy in any worship and concert settings.
