David Lasky's new composition includes four variations on the popular hymn tune 'Hursley.' This work opens with a simple straightforward setting, and is followed by a modified trio that contains the lovely melody in the left hand. The third variation is lush with a delightful accompaniment. The closing toccata sounds more difficult than it actually is.
