"Whatever our souls are made of" explores the tension between Cathy Earnshaw's love for Heathcliff, and sense of duty to marry Edgar Linton, in Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights. LOVE AND LONGING was conceived as a single work in three parts, to be performed in succession by three different singers.
