Winter Evening Song [Alf:36-10105232]

This is a sensitive, technically simple melody treated in an andante tempo and 3/4 meter. Its sparse scoring, in spots, contrasts nicely with the legato ensemble statements that predominate. Percussion is used to enhance the musicality of the work rather than to serve as a pulse. It is a terrific work to teach elements of musicality.
