This piece was originally written for the boys and girls at Wyoming School District in Cincinnati, Ohio. The work is meant to be used to teach composition to the students of the orchestra. The primary musical motif is suggested by the name Wyoming Cowboys, which is what the school calls itself. The next three measures after the initial motif are left blank. It is suggested that the students fill in each of these measures with a motif of their own creation. They should use E Dorian for this composition. Enjoy creating and exploring!
