The book presented here unites pieces from works for lute and harpsichord as well as sonatas and suites for violin and cello solo. The main source was the "Notebook of Anna Magdalena Bach." This volume provides advanced guitar students with a thoroughly edited note text. In addition to a few "hits" from the Bach repertoire, it also includes compositions that are less known. A valuable collection for musical instruction with 24 pieces, also suited as an introduction into Bach's oeuvre; and a preliminary stage to the suites for cello solo which Gerd-Michael Dausend edited and rearranged excellently for the guitar.
