Cramer, Johann Baptist.
Edited by Hans von Bülow.
Piano Studies.
For: Pf.

These studies are an excellent preparation for passage-work, as well as being interesting pieces in their own right.
Johann Baptist Cramer was born in Mannheim (Germany) on February 24th, 1771. He was brought to London as a child, and spent the rest of his life there. He was a student of Muzio Clementi, and a friend of both Joseph Haydn and Ludwig van Beethoven. Cramer was one of the most renowned pianists of his time (Beethoven considered him to be the finest pianist of the day). As a composer, his output includes circa 200 piano sonatas, circa 50 accompanied piano sonatas, 9 piano concerti, and chamber music. Johann Baptist Cramer died on April 16th, 1858.
