Johann Sebastian Bach (1685 O.S. – 1750 N.S.) was a prolific German composer and organist whose sacred and secular works for choir, orchestra and solo instruments drew together almost all of the strands of the baroque style and brought it to its ultimate maturity. His forceful suavity and vast output have earned him wide acknowledgment as one of the greatest composers in the Western tonal tradition.
The present volume is a similar diversified series of songs, preludes, and dances to that compiled by Bach himself in his keyboard albums for Anna Magdalena and Friedemann Bach.
