Zimmermann issued this composition for the 50th anniversary on 27th March 1996. Two song-like patterns of four lines correspond with each other, separated by a minor third- the style bearing reminiscences to the harmonies used by Oscar Peterson. The middle part sounds like an imaginary popular song from the first half of the 20th century. BLUES is an impressive work which can be used to complement the repertoire for exams or auditions.
