The stately theme of the St. Anthony Chorale is passed back and forth from brass to organ, finally coming together at the conclusion of the Chorale. The Finale, in the form of a passacaglia, is a set of variations over an ostinato that transform through a series of rhythmic and harmonic alterations to end in a triumphant restatement of the Chorale. (Alternate C Tpt. parts)
