Commissioned by the Countess Pastré (1891-1974), this piece was written in 1952 and premiered in January fo 1953 by a stellar cast, including Jean-Pierre Rampal, Robert Veyron-Lacroix, and the “orchestre de la radio-difussion française” conducted by Richard Blareau. The original manuscripts were mysteriously lost for more than 40 years, resurfacing in 2002 to make this edition possible. Handwritten instructions are reproduced in this edition with parentheses, and instructions from Rampal himself are also included. For advanced players. Dur.: 14’
