Richard Deering (or Dering, or Dearing; circa 1580-1630) was an English composer who lived worked most of his life in the Spanish Netherlands, on account of his Roman-Catholic faith. Deering's music had wide appeal, and two- and three-voice pieces were reputedly Oliver Cromwell's favorite music!.
