This is a complete new edition including a separate commentary volume which gives harmonized settings from contemporary sources. Born blind, Van Eyck was a 17th century Dutch recorder player who composed these variations based on popular tunes. This edition represents a relatively rare collection of recorder music that is not either from the late Baroque or the 20th century.
