Rainer Pezolt was born in Rodach near Coburg, in 1957. A freelance composer, arranger and music teacher, he was also the director of two music schools from 1989-2003. Among the highlights of his career are a scholarship at the Cite International des Arts in Paris (1985-86) and numerous prizes in composition competitions including the German Federal Competition for Institutes of Tertiary Education (1985).
