Fantasia in C Minor Op.35 / Fantasia in D Minor Op.87.
Adolph Friedrich Hesse was born in Breslau on August 30th, 1809. He was considered one of the most important organists in Germany, and also thrilled audiences in Paris and London with his virtuosic pedalwork. One of Hesse's pupils was Jacques-Nicolas Lemmens, who would later teach Alexandre Guilmant and Charles-Marie Widor. Hesse died in Breslau on August 5th, 1863.
