Luise Walker was born in 1910, and began playing the guitar in 1918. She studied with Josef Zuth, Jacob Ortner, Heinrich Albert, and Miguel Llobet. Her concert career took her the world over, and she was professor of guitar at the Staatsakademie fuer Musik in Vienna. Luise Walker died in 1998.
