Winner of the 1994 American Guild of Organists/ECS Publishing Award in choral composition, composer Freund asks for the stream of sixteenth notes in both choral and organ score to be performed "fast, but not rushed - electric!". And electric it is! the text is by Gerard Manley Hopkins ("The world is charged by the grandeur of God..") and the setting, though requiring a skilled chorus, will reward those who take the challenge.
