Viktor Jekimowski, born in 1947, studied composition with Aram Khatchaturian at the Gnessin Institute in Moscow starting in 1971. Today, he is a freelance composer and musicologist, having authored a monograph on Olivier Messiaen, as well as numerous essays on contemporary music. 'Each unit of the music is associated with a particular color.
