The rush of the Christmas holidays, moving from one activity and event to another, is portrayed in this humorous solo that begins with the familiar strain of "Joy to the World" which moves on to "Silent Night" to "We Three Kings" all in the space of a few measures. Written in the key of C, an early intermediate student could handle this clever solo that features snippets of numerous famous carols throughout the piece. Students will have fun figuring out how many Christmas melodies are actually contained within the entire piece.
