For an exciting performance piece that is within reach of a late elementary level pianist, the regal sound of this modern 3 movement piece in classical form is a perfect choice. The opening movement, in sonata allegro form, played Allegro risoluto, keeps the hands in a fairly narrow area of the keyboard, in G Major. The G Minor 2nd movement, Andante cantabile, is stately and thoughtful, followed by the final movement, Presto giocoso, a short rondo, joyously fast and fittingly climactic.
