The title is a reference to Aurora, the Roman goddess of the dawn who flies across the sky each dawn, heralding the start of the new day. Strong melodies and woodwind flourishes are supported by creative and driving percussion writing make this an excellent contest selection to show off all aspects of the ensemble.
