An excellent study and introduction to contemporary compositional techniques, Ghost Dancing will stimulate the students in their exploration of modern music. Some of the dissonances are biting, adding to the excitement of the piece. The contrasting lyrical middle section gives a release from the tension before leading back to the aggressive main theme.
